Default Well,, do I try this again?

Well, it appears I have lost another fishing partner. So, I know it is me now,,lol. Lets see, I started with one guy half way through the year of 2006, when I started in August,, then he was gone,, then i fished 2007 with Fish Addict,,, then he bailed,,, then 2008, was with Kickin Bass ass, and he has bailed!!! SO,,, now I am wondering if I should just start fishing alone? Now I fished alone a few times, and it has it's advantages, and disadvantages. I did like it, but wonder if I would get sick of it?
Fishing alone,,,, you dont have to wait for someone that is late. You don't have to go back and forth where to fish, and you can come home or stay out when you want too, and you have lots of room on the boat.

Fishing with someone,,,,, you have someone to help with the boat. Share in the gas and bait cost. Help with end of trip clean up. There is someone to celebrate if you catch something, and someone to talk to, and keep you company......so.....here is my dilemma. Do I post here for another fishing partner? It appears i scare people off, so ,,,, do I bother,, or do I just fish alone. I can barely stand myself,, so,,,lol.
I can not do too much for next 3 weeks anyway, while my dad is here, it is hard to get out,,, man,, wish he came in August,,lol.
I guess, Ii have some time to decide, so feel free to point out any other pros and cons I have missed, to help in my decision, if I should go it alone, or start looking for new blood.

I have 2 solid guys they can run wire braid tie there own knots and know how to fight and help land fish not newbies. never late and commit for the date and time.

Then i have people who want to go ??? who say yes then bailed the night before to take the overtime that I passed up because we were going fishing
or show up to the boat with a 12ft surf rod 30 mins late then get mad when i tell them to leave the rod i have a depth finder! (hello whos boat is it?

Then those who never realized there's a 4am!!

But every one whats FREE FISH (if your not in the boat you get no fish)

I like alone but only during the day and trolling sucks alone NEVER AT NIGHT

but i split my time between boat and shore saves me money and i love pluging

I feel your pain

haha OK, well, good to know its not just me. Now the guys I have mentioned were pretty good to fish with, they just bailed on me,,lol. I am that guy with the 8' or 9' foot pole on the boat. Only poles I have at the moment. I had a good 7' , but I lost it in the Prov river when I fell in this past March,,lol

I'll go with you, I'm just not mentally stable so you never know when I'm going to throw myself overboard or jab myself with a hook, I also like to wear my Korkers on deck.... and I only fish with a 10'6"...I'm protecting others by fishing alone

of course I do, I''m sending the girls off for a week soon, that'll free me up... but you wouldn't want to fish w/ me now...ever since Pete declared fish everywhere I've been in a slump and haven't been able to find one...thanks Pete
I'm grabbing my bucket and going to the pier, catch squid and continue to get fluke on my squid jig (another one yesterday, first cast) that I have to release till, what ..the 17th...and gorge myself on calamari till the new moon.....I even threw my new "squid skin" needle this am...worked great, should have gotten hammered....I might eat it myself...

Default Have you thought about a dog ?

Mine fishes with me all the time, doesn't complain what time it is when i get up, doesnt complain, doesnt bust my balls when i screw up, congratulates me ( and the fish ) when I bring one aboard, and needs only water and a few yummies to keep him happy

Plus he is a total liar, and agrees with all of my fish stories !
