Bassfreak,,,no, i have the same paints, and the Opaque with color all, it is more of a base color paint to start with, they have a transparent paint there at Micheals also, and thats what you want to get the see-through look. There is also a ??? crap?? I cant think of it now,, i will get back to you.

Opaque as a base color to start with.......ok thanks for that tip.....I need to try that....and the transparent stuff to keep some of the base color showing thru....

Man do I got a lot to learn with this plug building stuff..........I really should just load up the brush and experiment on a piece of cardboard.....or a solid non penetrable surface so I can see what effect I get with the various paints.

I got over 150 bottles of other paints....some nearly dried up...some still good....but they are all acrylic paints by Americana...or Decoart....they are very thick and will need to be cut down.......trouble is the colors are not fish colors.......they are stuff my mother used for painting crafts and such.....

I seen the Createx stuff at Micheals and it is like ready to use!!!!........and they have all the fish colors we like to see..........

Transparent Createx.......and the Opaque stuff...........the really shinny stuff....Pearl I believe it was.....that Im assuming is a little harder to paint with as the silver flake looks heavy.....runs easy???...............Also seen the glow in the dark stuff......I forget the word now...(mind is in overload).....damn!!!!

How much r u guys paying for a 2 oz bottle of the Createx paint??......Up here it is $7.50 a bottle...add the tax and your up to $8.46..........

I get the Micheals coupons from the weekly flyers and get 40% off.....with tax that works out to be $5.07 a bottle.....

After any purchase you make you get a coupon for 50% off.......tax in = $4.23....that is the cheapest we can get it for here. Im guessing you guys get it for $3.00 a bottle non sale price.?????

Here is a question.......what r u guys using to clean your air brush out with afterwards???....after spraying a Createx water based paint??....or an acrylic paint such as the Decoart brands???.....

I am guessing not water alone???,.......I find water does a good job of clean-up when you can get your hand in there to work it and loosen stubborn paint........but to rely on water alone for the inside of the air brush seems to be a gamble and will no doubt lead to a plugged air brush//............

I seen this Air Opaque cleaner today......and am wondering if it is the way to go??.....can I or should I use mineral spirits??.........

Ok I got to go and sand then prime my plugs......lesson # 1 about to start.....

Im painting with Createx paints..........new air brush...Ive never painted with one before.......and I dont want to destroy it.......and was told that because the Createx paint is water based and ready to use (very thin) I will only need to use water to clean my airbrush with.....this seems like a big mistake............

I seen this Air Opaque cleaner today at Micheals......and am wondering if it is the way to go??.....can I or should I use this or any other type of mineral spirits??......

anything but water to clean out the air brush????........need your advice......anyone???

NO MINERAL SPIRTS !!!!! There are seals in that gun, and may effect it,,
My friend uses water alone, but I use a "Air brush cleaner" that I got from Micheals,, and it makes a big differenc.. It is pink, and a little thinck,, and works good. I can clean my airbrush with just water first,, then put this cleaner in it, and get alot more paint out of it. My airbrush looks like the day i bought it, and you know that is saying something for me...lol

OH,, yes,, try to spray on something else before you do the plug,,, then do the plug,, and I would only use the Creatix stuff from Micheals,, Yes, I have Opaque, transparent, pearl, and flourecent,,, and they all spray the same for me, and dry right away, as long as you dont pour the paint on,, do it in thin coats, and the air oxidizes it right away, and you can keep painting along, I am doing some tonight

I use an air bush cleaner, and actually I use a squirt bottle and shoot water right into the paint reservoir, and that gets it real clean.

ScottW....you only use water and have no troubles??....r u using hot water??...that works better than cold water/.............wowowow so no mineral spirits...it could kill the seals you say.......jee whiz....damn plug stuff
is fussy isnt it............

Ok warer in the paint reservoir...and isopropyl....or Air Brush cleaner.....wish I could get a bigger bottle than what they sell at Micheals up here......4 oz bottle for $6....robbery I say...quick call the cops!!!...Ive been robbed by Micheals...
