Beaver, Those look very good to me and if those were my first three i would be extremely proud. If i am fishing areas with deeper water closer to shore, like a few NJ jetties i go with a sparsely tied bucktail. When i am fishing shallower areas like montauk i go with a denser hair pattern. I tie more hair by simply tying in multiple stages so your not doing on big wrap. The more hair i tie the more wraps in between when i tie. With that i am no expert and many people are much better. Kindest, Billy |

Thanks for the comments. I like the bulk of the andrus. It allows for a slower retrieve. But since I fish a lot in the canal, these sparsely tied jigs might work out. I'll try and tie some up and get them out to you guys. I have a crappy vise, but it looks like a nice one would be a good investment. |
