Default time well spent

Hey Beaver, I've been playing with the bucktails for the last couple of days, very crude set up as you can see, made a vise out of stuff laying around along with my bobbin holder(which actually works great) and "modified" my spinner to hold the bucktails , this is going to be a regular activity I think, lots of fun, pretty simple and very enjoyable......don't know that the stripeys will spot the difference from an off the shelf Andrus but who cares what they think

Nice set up Scott. I particularly like the bobbin. I haven't been spinning mine so the epoxy looks pretty busch league, but I don't think the bass will mind.

I haven't been too busy with the bucktails. Hoping to pump some out in the next couple weeks.

Default making bucktails

Scott how do you get the eye on the jig and what do you coat it with? Is it like an envirotex like you would use on a plug? And to get it smooth you put the clear coat on and put the jig on a spinner? thanks Charlie

I bought stick on eyes..I'm pretty sure they have small ones at SWE...I hit the paint with some fine sandpaper and used some flexcoat that I had left over, I'm sure etex would work fine, also added some(use just a little) macro pearl and some metallic powder depending, I hung them on my plug spinner by the hook with a wire at the other end for the best result, I really like the way that the unpainted jigs turned out with just flexcoat and some metallic pigment
