Default Still blood to be spilled!!!

Word from my sources is that the tuna may be thinning on the bank but the sure as hell havn't left yet. I started the season june 1st up there and despite the naysayers we had an epic day. If anyone is down let me know, I'll make the run from NYC and try and shut the naysayers up one more time.

That said, I know were more of an inshore/midshore crowd here but there is some awesome water out in the deep. A eddy of 71 degree water has worked its way in and seems to be getting closer every day. Its a long run but new water may hold all those fish that were MIA this fall. If you or a budy are still in the water I'd man up and go for it...then again I've plain lost the my marbles lol.

Last, I want to give you all an FYI on three destination tuna spots that are bonkers right now.

Round trip flights to Panama City, Panama are being given away with a ton of dates available...check Continental Airlines - Airline Tickets, Vacations Packages, Travel Deals, and Company Information on continental.com for up to minute pricing and realize some of the sickest tuna water on earth is in the North West corner of that country.

You also have the left coast long range fishery which beyond being an insane experience any time is experiencing a rediculous start to the winter season. Though these 10-20 day trips are always good for a few YFT over 200lb, fish of that grade are being caught by the dozens or more and by multiple boats in totally different areas. I did an 8day a few years back with the Royal Polaris and it was one of my top 5 life experiences so thats a great boat to start with. Other boats all cashing in and with great repuatations are The Excell, The Shogun and The Red Rooster 3

Last but not least I recently got the down low on the winter YFT jigging and popping trips out of Texas. Instead of 10+ days and having to steam a thousand miles to find the fish these trips are typically 2-3 days and fish Oil rigs from 100-250 miles from port. Beyond offering some real variety of life thanks to the rigs these trips have been yeilding limits of YFT to 160lbs and bigger! And all this on an open boat that focuses on jigging and popping as opposed to the wait with bait mentaility that prevails up here.
