A few weeks back I mentioned my excitement about the new book Marketing Lessons from the Grateful Dead by David Meerman Scott and Brian Halligan.

http://www.edgeangling.com/forums/blog.php?b=261

I got a chance to read it on vacation and it is fun and full of simple truths. If you are curious about either topic (marketing or the band) I think you will enjoy it.

I realize now one of the smartest things the band did to build its fan base was to avoid using...

There is a lot of truth in these words.
http://singlebarbed.com/2010/07/28/t...e-whole-again/

I still drop almost $5 on a fishing mag from time to time and I still have the same feeling when I have finished it 20 minutes later....barely worth it.

I can recall the handful of articles that taught me someting that I could retain (ya I know) and use. Most things penned by Kenney Abrames. My man Tom Keers...

Trout Unlimited has completed an extensive review of brook trout habitat. It is heat waves like this that help you realize how fragile some of the habitat is. You can find native brookies in RI; but you will be "bow and arrow" casting

What’s your favorite bonefish rig?

I typically throw a 9’, 8 weight rod with a floating line. I start with a 9’ leader, and add on a longer tippet if the bonefish are spooky. For tailing bonefish, I typically start with unweighted crab patterns. For cruising bonefish I use flies weighted with beadchain, and then add the lead eyes for deeper running fish. You can see my standard selection of bonefish flies here:
