    Default kayak and the fullmoon

Went out last night 3am hit the falling tide Fantastic night mild little wind an 90% illumination pulled an eel around for 3 hour 2 boated 2 lost and 2 bluefish had to tweak the Bait runner seems the pick up
while paddling is totally different from casting and reeling an EEL they smash it! in the yak not small tap an pull like while casting .. I had the 2nd drag to loose would get a quick run then they would drop it ( not enough tension to set the hook) once I tighten up the 2nd drag and let the rod do some of the work I was 2 for 2 all the fish went nuts on top after getting hooked the one in the picture took tore off some serious line hell of a fighter was a bit disappointed but impressed he was 38-40 in fish sorry for the poor quality of the photo

That's no bluefish !! and yes were fishing circles I like 7\0 gamakatsu Black Octopus Circle Hooks or the red eagle claws you need to snell them to help with the way the hook pulls to take advantage of how the hooks designed to work the leader that goes to the main line should come from the back of eye of the hook kayak and the fullmoon-untitled1.jpg

Nice fish Wayne, taking pictures from a kayak is the worst - theres no good way to do it. What kind of rig did you get?
