    Default Offshore strippers?

New to saltwater fishing and i'm trying to find a few spots worth my time. Looking to get strippers off shore, does anyone know if Bold Point in East Providence is still active?

I'm sure you could get some strippers to go offshore.. You'd just have to tip them really well. If you want STRIPERS, then yes you could probably still get them off bold point. Lot's of pogies in that area so I would suggest doing some chunking. I'd do it soon.. The water temps are getting pretty high and as they do your chances will diminish.

    Suggestions for you.

Read the article by Steve McKenna about artificials, It on this site. Get books from the Edge and read about places to fish (SPOTS) in RI. Also, read Zeno's book about fishing artificials from the surf.

Read tide charts and moon phases. Some places you cannot fish at low tide and others are better on the incoming (stinky beach). Yet, some are better on the outgoing.

Do not get discuraged if you do not catch fish right away. Keep plugging away, get comfotable with two or three lures then move on.
