Default Anyone catching any bass or blues?

I don't need to know where (although feel free to tell me!) just looking for some inspiration to make the 2hr ride down on Sunday to do some fishing.

This has been a tough fall from the wind standpoint. Seems like I'm always fighting the wind, although I have caught decent fish.

Weather looks bad on Friday- hope it doesn't foul up the water for the weekend, or blow the fish or bait out.

Fishing has been spotty. They are really on the move and the shifting weather keeps you guessing. Stayed home Sunday but got good reports. Monday worked very hard for a handful of dinks and 1 20lber (the large are in the mix). Last night worked very hard for a dink. Had a brief bite going and dropped what felt like a keeper. Fast breakers made much of the terrain difficult. But one could not hope for a more beautiful seascape. Time to enjoy the sights and stop cursing the moon. They are around but the distance between bites is growing. To sum it up - GO FISHING. Next month your pretty well done. I enjoy the flow of the seasons and am looking forward to domestic life, rich foods and good books. So go while you can and savor every moment.
    Tight lines!

Default I just dont get it, on so many levels

I went out again last night,,,,bit the bullet, and drove boat down to Narragansett area, hoping to see a schoolie, seeing the bay is over. In 4 hours,, with multiple lines in the water with chunks, eels, and plugging, neither me or my friend could get a bump!!! No matter what I do, where I go, when I go, or what I do, can I ever see fish? How is it that we never catch fish, not even schoolies or blues, when so many are catching. Since first week of july, i have caught 2 small keepers, and about 6 schoolies in 4 months!! That has to be a record. Now the "salt in the wound" part of this is, as I am launching the boat, there are 7 striper carcasses, where someone filleted them there at the dock, and tossed the remains in the water. And however the piece of crap was,,, at least 2 off them were about 20 or 22" long!!!!! Now how is this justice? Some moron, rapes the sea, and sof schoolies, and catches 7 fish, and I cant get a bump, and I never ever have taken a schoolie, and never would, or let anyone on my boat either. Yet, these are the scumbags that are catching. Man,, if I have the same year next year, as I did this year, will sell the boat, and just spend the monry on charters instead. Sorry to vent,,, but this was my last fishing day for the season,,, this year is a rap, and had to sum it all up for my own self... See you all I hope at the SWE, winter functions.
