We're in September and I was lucky enough to be picked for an oversand permit for the Plum Island refuge in the lottery. So today I'm going to do some lazy surf fishing. Time to dig out the sand spikes, the beach chair and the beer koozie.

The doo-doo content of the river looked really high the other day thanks to the hurricane and all of the overflowing sewers from the White Mountains on down. They had closed the beach to swimming. I think I'll fish as far from the river mouth as possible!
