I've been quiet for a while but for good reason. Baby merch arrived September 28th. Her name is Juliana. Not named after Dame Juliana, but some have noticed the coincidence. Hope the fall is treating everyone well. I'll write again when I have some time.

I hate going to the beach. Sitting around in the hot sun on a towel, bored out of my mind for hours on end always seemed like a less than ideal scenario to me. Two things to never leave the dock without enough of. That first morning on the river it got foggy before I even went to bed the night before. It was thick. Not so thick you couldn't see, but pretty close. An hour or so into it, as that fog was settling in a little more, I felt something else start settling in at the bottom of my gut.
