Last night I was listening to WEEI on my way home and was very pleasantly suprised to hear a radio ad challenging Deval Patrick to remove the industrial trawlers from Massachusetts waters. I've seen an osprey in 100 Acre Cove. Also heard reports of herring arriving in Barrington. Nesting pair still a few days out according to the nest builder Andy Souter.

Met with the Hobie rep yesterday. They are trying to place the Pro Angler Mirage in tackle shops as opposed to kayak shops. The feel that it's weight, hands free operation and built in fishing features make it more of a fishing platform/small boat then yak. They tricked it out with horizontal rod holders, live well (optional) and a well placed storage hatch for Plano boxes. New this year is Torqeedo a moter that can be swapped for the rudder.
