  3. Ross Reels acquired by 3M

by , 10-01-2010 at 06:24 AM (Fly Rodding the Ocean State)
Ross has always made a quality product. They sell products that last for a fair price.
Nice to see 3M (Scientific Anglers) deepen thier commitment to fly fishing.

Good to hear there is innovation on the horizon. Especially with Loomis which was acting like they might get out of the rod biz. No more blanks, no more OEM...what next!

    Thanks Kirk!

  5. ESPN drops all Outdoor Programing

by , 05-29-2010 at 07:24 AM (Fly Rodding the Ocean State)
By the end of 2010 ESPN will eliminate thier outdoor programing in the mornings on the weekends. No more "Spanish Fly". That's bad. No more Charlie Moore. I'm down with that.

It is another example of niche content/programming being preferred to broader more general options. Think "inch wide and a mile deep".

Thanks to Marshall Cutchin at Mid Current.
