Epoxy topcoat yes. Listen, If you run a wire through your plug and kink it a little creating a high spot, your plug will stay put. Then it will rotate a full 360 degrees. I don't like when plugs are wired first. One example is when a metal lip gets crushed/bent you have to cut the epoxy from front and rear to get the wire and lip out. I'll take a pic tonight of my set up.
