One more strike

Again a great book from Zeno. Read it in 3 days and read some chapters over and over and will do trough the winter....i get like that sometimes. Anyway I enjoy the book and wish just that more zeno writing was in there cause he crack me up. A part from that there a lot of great perspectives and if you are not lucky enough to have those great fisherman as close buddies here's a chance to get a window on the way they think. This book is a lot about the mindset you need and with honesty it will also show you the amount of work and dedication that you need in chasing big fish and consistently being on the game. Rules and always plenty of exceptions since big fish seems to act very differently.I enjoy the book a lot! tight lines!

Pros: this mindset applies to every big fish hunter around the world.
Cons: only one chapter for the artificial lures

a very inspiring book.

This is a very inspiring book. After having read this book, you must find yourself much more closer to the essence of this fishing than you expected. This book reminds me of the words of Mr Hideyuki Kitamura( the most respected and influential saltwater angler in Japan ). " In fising the star role is played not by the angler, but by the fish he targets. "These words directly brings me to the importance of determination, readiness and willingness to hunt for the big fishes when they move into the shallow waters. This is the common thread reiterated in the book. This is exactly central to the mentality indispensable for this specific activity. The author Zeno Hromin says his opinion about the presence of big fish in the surf at any given time has changed dramatically over the last few years. If this comment doesn't in the least intrigue you now, I assure you this book is not for you, and neither is this obsessive sport.

Quest for Large

This 2nd book published by the hardest working surf caster around departs from the generalities of "Art of..." and draws together techiniques specific to the quest for large with a collection of individual chapters written by a truly elite group of fishermen.

The Hunt for Big Stripers

This book is valuable reading wheather or not you target large Stripers. I found myself in conditions (that Zeno outlines that favor large fish) that I would never have been aware of. I came away with about a dozen notes that are now part of my fishing style. He shares info that would take a lifetime of Striper fishing learn.
