Pros: Easy clips, perfect length

Perfect

Sometimes it's the little things that can make all the difference. Dropping your unleashed pliers in the surf at 2:00am (or PM) is not the way to have a safe and successful fishing trip, especially if there's bluefish around.

Good price for this item compared to others. I have two of them and so far no problems.

Inexpensive, Good enough

I bought this in a pinch because I needed something like this for an upcoming trip. The better quality (though much pricier) Van Staal coiled lanyard I really wanted was on backorder at the time. I planned to put this on my Boga Grip. I haven't really put it to the test yet, only used it for a few days... so far so good. But now that I have my heavier duty Van Staal lanyard, I'll put that on my Boga and save this for a something else to use while float-tubing, or kayaking.

AFTCO Lanyard

I have my Van Staal pliers on the end of these ... Enough said, I trust the quality and materials implicitly. Coil holds up well.

AFTCO Lanyard

Was looking for a Lanyard for my Boga when I ran across this item. In my opinion, this lanyard is NOT strong enough to secure a Boga to your belt in the surf, but with some modifications, It will do the trick. Took a little black electrical tape an wrapped the ends for more security. Now I wont have my mind on the leash, but rather on the fishing.

Pros: low cost alternative to $$ ones
Cons: melted joint seems weak

Aftco Lanyard - best buy

I have used there for over 4 years now on my Donnmar Checkpoint pliers and they are holding up fine. The melted ends don't look like they will hold, but they haven't let go yet! I have an more expensive leash on my Boga Grip that was 3X more $$ and the Aftco leash is going toe to toe w/ it. I'm impressed with the durability of it! You can always wrap some floss over the joint if it makes you feel better, but it is fine the way it is. :)

Pros: Inexpensive-quality clips
Cons: clips could be better secured to lanyard

Like this lanyard

I like this lanyard and it seems to be a quality product. I do question the way the clips are connected to the lanyard. After using a Van Stall lanyard I expect all of them to have their clips fastened in the same manner. The clips haven't broken I just don't have the confidence that I do with my Can Stall lanyard.

best bag for the buck!

These are hands down the best bang for the buck they are great for your lighter needs, I use them on my pliers, flash light and plastic gripper. The clips on mine do not rust but show oxidation 4 Stars. If these are a new model using stainless steel then they are even better than what i have and deserve 5 stars.

Good Product

Great lanyard for the price. Great upgrade for the Dr Slick pliers. The end clips are solid. The lanyard is a little short for my taste.
