Super Strike Little Neck Poppers are loved by fishermen almost as much as fish. They cast effortlessly getting fantastic distance and are able to hold up to the toothiest critters. What makes this popper stand out is when retrieved slowly it will swim very much like a metal-lipped swimmer. Available in many different sizes as well as floating or sinking styles

Swimming Sinkers

Really versatile lure.... I prefer 2 3/8 for the slow sink but popping the rod sporadically gives this lure a great swimming action as it sinks and a sweep of the rod attracts attention when it rips back up to the surface.

Caught its first fish!

I got a chance to fish along the cliff walk in Newport and tossed this plug. Very comfortable to work with slow or fast action. Caught a fat 26" bass with it. The fish first swatted my plug. Then I slowed down the retrieve and 5 seconds later he came back and nailed it as he flashed his under belly!

Awesome!

These poppers cast like a bullet even in the face of a Noreaster! They stand up for yeas and can take the abuse of Blue Fish that are eazy to work. The one thing i don't like is that they you cut hooks, I replace them as soon as I get them.

Must own

These poppers cast like missiles. You can swim them with a nice slow retrieve, and they have a great wobble to them. Since they sink, you can get them down to the big girls. If fish are breaking, you can use a faster retrieve with a pop for some great topwater action.

This was a great lure, first day I hooked up. Unfortunatly I also hooked up with the bottom of the ditch and not ready to say goodbye I almost got swept away while wading in the canal (not recomended) The versitility of this lure is great, of course you can use it top water chugging every few ****** but you can also use a slow steady retrive and it wiggles a bit. Great Lure...

Striper Candy

The little brother to the venerable 2 3/8 ounce sinking Little Neck popper is just as effective in catching bass and blues, and sometimes even more so when the fish are keyed in on smaller bait. This particular plug caught many bass for me three mornings in a row on a remote beach in Martha's Vineyard last fall and the all-white version was the ticket for bluefish in Cape Cod that summer. When I fish poppers, I rarely use anything but SuperStrikes. I love 'em!

The Super Strike Little Neck Popper is a member of plug royalty in my book. There are only so many lures you can put on the end of a beginner's line, tell them to cast out, reel in and "pop" (or not for you sharpies out there) and feel confident they have a legit shot at a trophy striped bass. Put an SS popper on the end of anyone's line and they instantly become a great caster, able to reach the fish that their redfins and slug-gos can't. If you're getting started in Surfcasting, pick up one of these lures. If you're already a seasoned fisherman, you already know.

Oh the Little Neck Popper, probably the first lure I was given and instructed to use by Iron Mike. Casts like a missile, drives bass crazy and comes in a variety of colors and sizes. Those in the know even fish it at night. What's not to love about this lure?!?

Anybody have any great tips or stories you've accumulated while fishing SS LNPs?

Fish these poppers at night really slow in moderate current to slack and they wobble, not unlike a metal lip.
Or mix the swim in with intermittant speeds.

i won't ever fish the hours between first light and sunset without a white 1.5 oz. sinking little neck popper in the bag. Casts extremely well and the small profile can make a big difference when fish are finicky.

I loaded some of the smallest size ones for spring fishing in the back bays near my house, think they weigh 1.75oz now with hooks, they caught so many fish it was unfair, the modified ones cast like a missile and still have the sexy swimming motion, but the main point i loaded these was this spot is always best when the wind is blwoing dead in your face and the fish hold on the edge of the channel before the flat, this plug reached them every time.

I loaded some of the bigger size ones too for the canal, took most of my fish on them this season.

Very versatile plug and fits a lot of applications.
