Last year the water was loaded with sandeel...match the hatch.....with this beauty. It's a great plug for rough seas and not . On a sandy beach you can work it by let it sink into the sand and then give it a burst.....My plug came with a siwash hook with a bucktails on. Enjoy that so i don't have to do it my own. Still they came unfortunately with no VCM hook.....hope SS will soon update that

Pros: Cast great, durable, covers a wider water column Cons: Hooks, throw them away asap Recommended: Yes
Watch out while casting!
This needle will reach the farthest sandbar or get past the heavy surf, excellent in head wind. I was able to throw this needle past the bar and repeatedly hook up, it was the only thing i had that would reach. Like all SS plugs, change the hooks asap.
