Don't ignore the "HF" rating. If you're looking to throw small metals at albies this isn't the rod for you. This is best as a shorter spinning rod for throwing smaller plugs between 1 and 2 ounces.

nice
After years of having ugly sticks on the boat for everyones use I thought to trade up a bit and offer st croix rods as a trade up... To date the reviews are positive as my guests really dont know the difference between rods but I do and this is something I wish I had done long ago...

Great rod!
These are one of the best LT rods available on the market for the money. Have been using them for years and even the 5-10 year old rods still work perfect. These rods will easily throw down to 1/2oz to throw for albies and can turn around and throw 1.5-2oz plugs for bass. Very versatile rods that will always be on my boat
