This is THE reel if you plan to surf fish anywhere striped bass roam. The reel fits well on rods form 8' to 11' and will handle just about any fish you will encounter.

If your going to do any sort of serious surfcasting you know these reels and their reputation. Beyond that, I have had nothing but a positive experience with the company. Further, this reel has proved itself with more then bass. Bluefin Tuna, Wahoo, Grouper and more have all been handled by this reel.

The VS250 is a tank and will hold up to any type of conditions and tame anything swimming that might hit your lure..
I've combined this reel with a 11' Arra and have fished with 1oz bucktails in Montauk and Snagged and Dropped adult bunker along the Jersey Shore with this oufit.. Never leave home without it ;-)
