Got Stryper Fishing Lures

Brand:Got Stryper
Available in a variety of sizes and colors, the Pintail Got Stryper soft plastics make a great choice rigged in a variety of ways for a variety of species. The baits come in a variety of excellent size/color combinations that make them ideal for basically any gamefish that swims. Here in the Northeast, Bass, Funny Fish, Bluefin Tuna and (unfortunately) Bluefish love them.
Got Stryper fishing lures hail from Cape Cod so I'm a little particular to them, but for good reason. These soft plastic baits come in many sizes and colors and work great rigged weedless with a big Owner Twistlock Beast Hook or longshank ballyhoo hook, or rigged with octopus hooks. The smaller sizes work particularly well with albies, and I like to throw the larger sizes for bass in the surf with aggressive jerks of the rod tip while cranking for an erratic swimming motion. Their shape lends well to its own wiggling action as well.

Got Stryper Soft Plastics

Another shop favorite is the Got Stryper Soft plastic bait. It's easy to see why these lures are so popular. Economical, available in all the right sizes and colors, and versatile. Anybody had any success on the Got Stryper soft baits? I just asked Mike about these baits (as I know he is a proponent of Got Stryper) his take was straightforward as you might expect from Mike. I asked him if there was anything that made these lures better than the other soft plastics available.

He said they weren't "better" per se, but they were economical, available, and he DID say they may have more "wiggle". So they've got that going for them. How about you? What has your experience been with these lures?

if you fish these on leadheads rig them so the grooves point up and down, not left to right, the action is way better.

havent had much luck on soft plastics this season in the surf, but i have taken a few nice fish with these in the ditch on 4oz leadheads.
