Fly Rods

Working at The Edge I've come to appreciate more forms of angling over the years, with that said, there's something special about catching a fish on the fly. With a fly rod, the connection between you and the environment around you (and hopefully a fish as well) is heightened. Bottom line is, fly fishing is loads of fun, not as hard as it looks, and if you haven't tried it, the huge selection of quality rods at low prices make now a great time to give the long rod a try.
When I first got into fly fishing I was overwhelmed by all of the options but one thing to really look at is a manufacturer's history and their products warranty. A good fly rod should last you a long time, and as a beginner fly fisher try to stick with a length and weight fly rod that best suits your local waters where you'll be spending most of your time. As you branch out it's always exciting to add a new rod to your arsenal, and you can always expand by utilizing the same reel with extra spools and lines for different applications.
