While there's no substitute for the high-end, super-duty pliers that demand a premium, we're glad companies have realized the need for a low-cost, quality-built, get-the-job-done level plier that doesn't break the bank. Our current favorite in this niche is the Dr. Slick Pisces Plier. Check out some of the features:
6-1/2" Stainless Steel Design - Great size for all types of angling. Comfortable fit in the hand.
Holster and Lanyard - These pliers come with a holster and lanyard to help make sure they're always within reach and avoid dropping them overboard or losing them in the water while wading.
Cutters - Cut both braid and monofiliment with ease
Rubber Handle Grips - Get a good grip on these while removing hooks or performing other tasks
RECOMMENDED UPGRADE - These pliers are and EXCELLENT value but the lanyard they come with leaves a little bit to be desired. We recommend purchasing an AFTCO Lanyard ($7.49) to ensure you won't lose these pliers.

Good For The Price
Used them all last summer and this spring. No problems with the pliers but had a nice leather sheath made to replace the cheap one included, it rode to high and rubbed my side. Should get years of life out of them.

Good Pliers...for one season
These are good pliers but they are not made to be cutting through anything other than leader. By the end of the season, the cutters were so dull(from things other than leader) that they wouldnt cut through anything. Don't get me wrong, these pliers work great if all you need is pliers. But if your looking for a multi tool that will cut VMCs, Braid, and Fluoro, and last for a couple of season, these ones are not what your looking for. Either go with a multi tool/pliers that are cheap and will last only one season or do what i do. Keep them on my belt for when i need pliers and have some nail clippers hanging from around my neck.

Good value
These pliers are great for the money. The holster is a bit cheap as is the lanyard. I recommend switching the lanyard. These have held up great for hundreds of hours OTW with just a quick rinse after each trip.

Pros: jaw length Cons: coating flakes off, rubber grip loosens up Recommended: No
Ok for the $
I was not really impressed with these pliers, the cutters are sharp, but the coating flaked off very quickly and the cutters dull very fast. The sheath is decent, but replace the included carabiner and lanyard with big split rings and something like the Abel or Aftco lanyard. On the plus side, once the cutters dull out, they are still ok as a backup pair.

Pros: Cuts braid and mono nicely, "sticky" handle Cons: slightly heavy for size Recommended: Yes
Best Value
I have a $150 pr of Accurates but I use these more often...they're handier, shorter and much less slippery w/ wet hands...yeah, case is *****y, but don't really mind the cord like everyone else...at less $35, just take it off...

Great item
Great pliers, and cheap. Easy to grip with wet/cold hands. Cuts mono + braid easily. Def needs a new lanyard- the one on it looks like it'll break in a stiff breeze.

Good Value Plier
Good plier and cutter for mono. I like the price and quality of the plier. It is a step up for me from the cheapies I have been going thru.

pliers worth the money
Good pliers, worth the cash. having the lanyard on them gives a sense of security and the the tool is well made. For the price they are a good deal. Not necessary to have titanium pliers for unhooking a fish.
