Ever heard the adage "big baits catch big fish?" The Bomber 17A Magnum Long A's track record bears it out. Included in its impressive resume is a world record walleye and the Texas state record Striped Bass. The true running action of the legendary Long A with little added muscle this is a one-of-a-kind trophy hunter's favorite. We advise a nice slow retrieve with these plugs. At night they can be deadly when fished with a dropper out front. Anglers fishing all along the striper coast have fished Long A's for years and believe us when we say these plugs produce fish when others won't.

    Pros: Large sillouette, wide wobble
Cons: In current it tends to slide
    Recommended: Yes
We are fishing the Long A at night in the tailrace of the Illinoise River below Tenkiller Dam for stripers and it produces lots of fish. Even though it is a large bait, and we have caught fish up to 16 lb., it is not unusual for stripers as small as 3 lb. to try to slurp it down. Working the lure very slowly, v-lining it on top, the pearl produces a highly visible sillouette, especially on dark nights. In heavier current it will tend to slide across the top of the water but a split shot pinched about two or three inches from the lure seems to help in those situations. Very exciting fishing.
