Buy this book! Till I read this I could not believe I was overlooking so many small things that make all the difference in the world when it comes to success...and even if you are a veteran, the unorthodox strategies in this book are priceless.

This is a good and thorough introduction to surf-casting with lures. I'm sure there are current fads that it doesn't discuss, but the general advice it gives is sound and well-grounded in experience. I think sometimes (with respect to lure colors, etc.) it may be a little Montauk-centric, but that's a minor matter.

This book is packed full of knowledge. Zeno goes into great detail explaining how and why to fish certain areas the lures to use and why to use them, he also repeats the important stuff and kinda drills it in your head so it wont soon be forgotten.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I've been fishing for more than 50 years,but didn't really know which lure to use when. This book not only defines the characteristics of different categories of lures, but tells you when(day/night) and under what surf conditions they work best. It certainly goes a long way in boosting my confidence.

The first time i read this book was about three years ago when it first came out and since then, i've must have gone back to it 100 times. Its the bible of surfcasting with plugs. I can honestly say that i have read most of the books published regarding surf fishing and this one is my favorite.

Read it several time and always found some new. He concentrated a great amount of information in a small compact book easy to read , well narrated with a great sense of humor and honesty. After reading this book you will open your eyes to a lot of little secret and funny enough it also will look like you know Zeno. Often in fact he will talk about episodes, visions and personal belief. I'm happy that i bought this book!
